General Practitioner - Primary Care

About the role

A newly opened primary care practice in the heart of Richmond is looking for a dedicated full-time GP to join its clinical team. The practice has a supportive, welcoming small team, a dynamic patient-focused practice with a loyal patient base, nursing and administrative support, and easy access to public transport and local eateries.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive primary medical care to individuals and families across the community.
• Conduct chronic disease management, preventative health screenings and early interventions.
• Perform minor clinical procedures and coordinate patient care plans with allied health staff.
• Maintain accurate, confidential and timely electronic patient health records.
• Collaborate with practice nurses, administrative staff and management.

Required profile

• Fellowship of the RACGP or ACRRM (FRACGP / FACRRM); doctors without fellowship may be considered for a Pre-Fellowship Program of up to 2 years because the practice is in a Distribution Priority Area.
• Current, unrestricted Specialist Registration with AHPRA preferred; applications may also be considered for practitioners on general registration who are eligible for expedited specialist registration.
• Professional indemnity insurance and eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number.
• Clear, professional and empathetic communication with patients and staff, and a proactive, positive, collaborative approach to community medicine.
