General Practitioner – Flexible Full or Part Time

About the role

New Horizons for Health Medical is a purpose-built, QPA-accredited bulk-billing practice in Port Douglas, Far North Queensland, founded over 25 years ago. It is currently staffed by two long-term doctors covering conventional and complementary medicine, a nurse practitioner/midwife, an RN, a medical assistant and an administration team. The practice is seeking an experienced General Practitioner for a full-time or part-time position; hours and rates are open to discussion.

Required profile

• Fully registered and qualified General Practitioner with at least three years' post-graduate experience; supervision is not accepted.
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build trust with patients.
• A genuine passion for community health and a willingness to work alongside other GPs in a more complementary style of practice.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and related technology.
• Ability to deliver care in person and via telehealth.
