General Manager – Large‑Scale Beef Operations

About the role

Cunningham Cattle Co is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead one of Australia’s largest beef platforms. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will provide strategic and operational direction across five properties covering nearly one million hectares.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual business and operational plans for all stations.
• Drive productivity, profitability, safety, animal welfare, bio‑security and environmental stewardship.
• Lead, coach and hold Station Managers accountable for performance.
• Oversee seasonal grazing, herd performance and infrastructure improvement programmes.
• Plan and deliver capital projects including water, livestock handling facilities and buildings.
• Manage natural‑capital, carbon and sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare and monitor annual operating and capital budgets.
• Administer commercial agreements such as agistment and leasing arrangements.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in large‑scale cattle or livestock operations.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing multi‑million dollar budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high‑performing teams across remote locations.
• Commitment to safety, integrity, continuous improvement and sustainability.
