General Manager – FM Projects

About the role

We are seeking a commercially astute and strategic General Manager – FM Projects to lead the delivery and growth of a national, integrated Projects portfolio across our Facilities Management operations in Australia. Reporting to the FM Director, you will oversee a geographically dispersed team and be accountable for end‑to‑end project management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a national Projects portfolio ensuring quality, cost control and ROI outcomes.
• Develop and execute integrated Projects & FM operating models and establish a Centre of Excellence.
• Drive operational excellence, commercial performance and client satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Own financial outcomes with focus on P&L performance, cost management and profitability.

Required profile

• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Projects and/or Facilities Management leadership roles.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale project portfolios and high‑performing teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated P&L responsibility.
• Experience in tendering, bid preparation and business development.
• Unwavering commitment to Zero Harm and safety leadership.

Required skills

• Leadership and people development for teams of 4 direct and ~80 indirect reports.
• Stakeholder engagement and influencing capability at executive level.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
