General Labourer

About the role

DCOH is seeking a reliable General Labourer to join its Darwin construction team. You will provide hands‑on support across a variety of site activities, helping trades and supervisors keep projects on schedule and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with general labouring duties on active construction sites, including loading, unloading and moving materials, tools and equipment.
• Support trades and supervisors with day‑to‑day construction tasks, site set‑up, housekeeping and general maintenance.
• Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas and comply with all site safety requirements, procedures and policies.
• Attend site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings, reporting hazards, incidents and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Help receive, handle and store site materials and deliveries, raising any concerns with supervisors as needed.

Required profile

• Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
• Previous construction, labouring or site‑based experience is advantageous.
• Ability to follow instructions, work effectively as part of a team and communicate with supervisors and co‑workers.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, punctuality and a hardworking attitude.
• Physical fitness and ability to undertake manual labouring activities in a fast‑paced environment.
