Full‑Time Wait Staff – Fine Dining Chinese Seafood Restaurant

About the role

Join a modern, upscale Chinese seafood restaurant in the heart of Surfers Paradise as a full‑time wait staff member. You will be part of a close‑knit team delivering fine‑dining service to a diverse clientele.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, present menus and beverage lists, and answer menu questions.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve meals and beverages promptly, manage wine and tea recommendations, and assist with cellar operations.
• Clear and reset tables, handle glassware, and maintain a tidy dining area.
• Process payments using POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Support opening and closing duties, including cleaning and banquet service for private events.

Required profile

• AQF Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of relevant wait‑staff experience (or two years without the certificate).
• Professional, well‑groomed appearance and strong teamwork attitude.
• Ability to remain calm and organized during peak service periods.
