Fullstack Developer – Hybrid (Sydney)

About the role

Cognizant Consulting is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design and deliver end‑to‑end digital solutions for complex business and technology journeys. You will work within a Technology Consulting team, collaborating with architects, platform engineers, and client stakeholders to build scalable, cloud‑native systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement application features across the frontend, APIs, and backend services.
• Build cloud‑native solutions that follow modern architectural patterns and platform standards.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services supporting reliable, secure workflows.
• Collaborate with architects and delivery teams to validate designs through working software.
• Contribute to quality engineering practices, including automated testing, reliability, and performance considerations.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering production‑grade full‑stack systems.
• Strong backend development using Node.js and TypeScript (or equivalent modern stacks).
• Frontend experience with modern frameworks such as React.
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts, reliability, consistency, and failure handling.
• Experience building solutions on AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
