About the role
The African Reef Hotel is seeking an experienced chef to join a friendly, energetic kitchen team. You will work alongside a dedicated Head Chef in a fast‑paced environment delivering modern, innovative food.
Key responsibilities
- Manage your own kitchen section and maintain consistent high‑quality output throughout service.
- Prepare and present dishes to top standards while adhering to food hygiene regulations.
- Work a rotating roster across a 7‑day operation, averaging about 38 hours per week.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years experience in a professional commercial kitchen.
- Ability to work 5 days within a 7‑day schedule and hold at least a Cert IV or equivalent trade qualification.
- Immaculate grooming, strong communication skills and a flexible, customer‑service oriented attitude.
Required skills
- Food hygiene compliance and knowledge of safe food handling practices.
- Kitchen section management and food preparation techniques.
