Full-Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Freelancer.com is looking for a motivated Full‑Stack Software Engineer to join a global, internet‑scale marketplace. You will work on both front‑end and back‑end systems that serve millions of users across more than 200 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance web services using modern languages and frameworks.
• Contribute to the Angular/TypeScript front‑end stack, ensuring a responsive and secure user experience.
• Build, scale, and optimise backend services (messaging, payments, translations, notifications) that handle massive traffic.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, ship code multiple times a day, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues, improve reliability, and implement best‑in‑class security practices.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience with web development languages such as Python, Golang, PHP, Node.js or Ruby.
• Hands‑on experience with relational databases, preferably MySQL, and SQL.
• Background in agile, continuous‑delivery environments and strong communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, ownership‑driven and capable of learning new technologies quickly.
