Full Stack Developer – React, Python & AI Platform

About the role

We are partnering with the Queensland State Government to build modern, scalable applications that blend user‑centric design with AI‑driven insights. As a Full Stack Developer you will create staff‑facing tools powered by an advanced knowledge and AI platform, enabling smarter decision‑making through natural language interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive single‑page applications using React.
• Build Python‑based APIs and backend services with FastAPI or Flask.
• Create reusable components for multiple applications on a shared platform.
• Integrate front‑end interfaces with AI‑powered services and knowledge‑graph capabilities.
• Develop and deploy cloud‑native solutions on AWS (serverless and containerised).
• Implement data integration across structured and unstructured sources.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Contribute to testing, deployment, CI/CD pipelines and continuous improvement.
• Apply best practices in clean code, version control and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong experience building React single‑page applications, component architecture and state management.
• Solid Python development background, preferably with FastAPI or Flask.
• Proven ability to deliver full‑stack applications end‑to‑end.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services, Lambda serverless solutions and containerisation (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and RESTful API design.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
