Frontend Software Engineer – TikTok LIVE

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Frontend Software Engineer to help build and optimise TikTok LIVE’s real‑time, high‑performance streaming infrastructure. You will work on user‑facing products across web, mobile and desktop, delivering a seamless live‑streaming experience for creators and viewers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the TikTok LIVE ecosystem, focusing on user‑side features for web, mobile and desktop platforms.
• Collaborate with back‑end engineers, UX/UI designers and product managers to turn wireframes into responsive, visually engaging interfaces.
• Stay up‑to‑date with front‑end trends, propose innovative solutions and optimise applications for performance and user experience.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues, working closely with QA to ensure robust, high‑quality code.
• Contribute to engineering tooling and platform decisions that improve overall development efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong foundation in computer science and proven experience on large‑scale front‑end projects.
• Proficiency with at least one modern framework such as React, Angular or Vue.js.
• Experience with responsive design, cross‑browser compatibility and performance optimisation.
• Hands‑on experience using AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, AI‑powered IDE plugins).
