Front End Loader Operator – Midwest, WA

About the role

Qube Bulk is seeking experienced Front End Loader Operators to join its team in Geraldton and the Midwest, near the Abra minesite. Positions are full-time and available to residents of Geraldton or to operators flying in and flying out (FIFO) from Perth. The work centres on safely and efficiently operating machinery and loading and unloading road trains with various products and materials.

Key responsibilities

• Operate front-end loader machinery safely and efficiently
• Load and unload road trains carrying products and materials for the Midwest operations
• Maintain accurate records of work completed

Required profile

• Valid driver's licence and current front-end loader ticket
• Minimum 12 months' experience operating CAT 972, CAT 980, Komatsu WA 500 or similar
• Minimum 12 months' experience loading and unloading road trains, ideally single, double and triple combinations
• Prior experience in a mining and/or FIFO environment
• High-risk forklift ticket, or ability to obtain or reinstate it
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
• National police clearance within 6 months, or ability to obtain a traffic history report within 3 months or a Maritime Security Identification Card
• Effective communication with other operators and good knowledge of load restraint guidelines
