Front End Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Front End Engineer to join our Technology team in Sydney. The role involves designing, developing and operating reliable, scalable front‑end systems that power Stake’s investing platform for hundreds of thousands of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, performant front‑end features that improve customer experience and drive business outcomes.
• Build and maintain accessible, responsive user interfaces and front‑end services supporting Stake’s growth.
• Own key front‑end systems and design‑system components, ensuring they run smoothly in production.
• Contribute to architectural decisions to enhance performance, maintainability and developer experience.
• Write well‑tested, maintainable code while balancing UX polish with technical excellence.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing and collaboration to raise engineering standards.
• Partner with Product, Design and Engineering to craft intuitive, polished customer experiences.

Required profile

• Experience building and operating customer‑facing front‑end applications in modern engineering environments.
• Strong focus on crafting intuitive, polished user experiences.
• Pragmatic mindset with ability to make thoughtful trade‑offs between speed, quality and maintainability.
