Franna Crane Operator & Experienced Civil Labourers

About the role

Pearl Recruitment is partnering with a major civil construction company in Ingham, North Queensland, on a main road project starting as soon as possible on 3 November 2026. Two positions are available: a Franna crane operator and two experienced civil labourers. Both roles involve Monday to Friday hours of 7:00am to 4:00pm and Saturday 7:00am to 1:00pm.

Key responsibilities

• General civil labouring duties, including manual handling, excavation and site preparation.
• Assisting plant operators and other site personnel, and loading and unloading materials.
• Operating a Franna crane and assisting with lifting and positioning materials, following lifting plans and site procedures.
• Conducting daily pre-start inspections and basic equipment checks.
• Maintaining a clean and safe worksite and following all site safety procedures and supervisor instructions.

Required profile

• For the crane operator: current CN/CO Franna crane operating ticket and current Construction White Card; physically fit and strong safety awareness.
• For labourers: previous civil construction labouring experience, with main roads, transport or road construction experience highly regarded; current Construction White Card; physically fit and committed to workplace health and safety.
• Additional tickets such as Dogging, Rigging or Civil Machinery are advantageous but not essential.

What we offer

• Franna operator: $45.80 per hour plus penalties after 7.6 hours.
• Laborers: $40.53 per hour plus penalties after 7.6 hours.
