Founding Senior Software Engineer – AI‑Native Insurtech

About the role

We are building an AI‑native insurtech platform in Sydney and need several founding senior engineers. You will join a small, senior human team and work directly with the operating arm of a profitable digital insurance venture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and own end‑to‑end components of a production AI platform.
• Build and maintain back‑end APIs and micro‑service pipelines using modern languages such as Rust and TypeScript.
• Implement robust testing, security, and auditability practices in a regulated environment.
• Collaborate with cloud and distributed‑system teams to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Drive CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing workflows.

Required profile

• Polyglot full‑stack engineer who selects the right tool for the job.
• Hands‑on experience building AI‑native, production‑grade systems that are live and stable.
• Agentic engineering mindset with the ability to direct and review AI‑generated outputs.
• Track record of delivering high‑ROI AI solutions in fast‑moving product environments.
• Strong focus on testing, security, and compliance in regulated domains.
