Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

BuildPass is building the operating system for the construction industry. As a Forward Deployed Engineer you will act as the technical bridge between our customers and our product, spending most of your time on‑site or in customer offices to understand real workflows and then delivering tailored solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Customer Success Managers on large accounts to translate vague requests into scoped, solvable problems.
• Design and implement configurations, integrations, data migrations, scripts and AI‑powered workflows using BuildPass Agent, MCP and APIs.
• Automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual effort for Customer Success and Support teams.
• Identify product gaps, create well‑evidenced briefs and collaborate with the product engineering team.
• Provide hands‑on technical support during customer site visits and remote calls.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to dissect complex construction workflows.
• Excellent communication skills to work closely with customers, support staff and engineering teams.
• Self‑starter who can manage both customer‑facing delivery and hands‑on development.

Required skills

• Experience with APIs and building integrations.
• Automation and scripting proficiency.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven workflow tools.
• Data migration and import techniques.
