Fire Service Technician

About the role

RIC Electrics, a locally owned electrical, fire, communication and security services company based in Wagga Wagga, is looking for a Fire Service Technician. The role involves testing, inspecting and ensuring the functionality of fire safety systems in line with Australian Standards, keeping residential and commercial buildings compliant and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire safety systems such as automatic fire detection, emergency warning and intercom systems, sprinkler systems, hose reels, hydrants, portable fire equipment and emergency lighting.
• Document all testing accurately, report deficiencies and give detailed inspection reports to internal teams and external clients.
• Liaise with clients, team members and supervisors to schedule tests, share findings and make sure required work finishes on time.
• Record all tasks and results in the Uptick system.
• Carry out all work in line with Australian fire safety regulations while keeping a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Driver's licence.
• WHG General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
