Financial Controller – Real Assets & Infrastructure

About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Financial Controller will lead the finance function for a fast‑growing portfolio of land‑based and real‑asset projects across Australia. This hands‑on position offers significant influence over financial strategy and a clear pathway to a future CFO role.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for operating assets and projects.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning processes.
• Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, audit coordination and overall financial controls.
• Direct treasury activities, cash‑flow management and financial risk mitigation.
• Partner with senior leadership on commercial analysis, strategic decision‑making and project financial governance.
• Build and scale finance processes, systems and controls to support rapid expansion.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Big Four or equivalent top‑tier finance training.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior finance leader.
• Strong technical accounting, reporting and financial control expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders on commercial decisions.
• Experience in asset‑intensive sectors (infrastructure, energy, property, agriculture, industrials) is advantageous.
