Financial Controller (Part‑time)

About the role

Duco is seeking a part‑time Financial Controller to oversee its financial processes, maintain accurate records, and deliver timely reports to senior leadership. This hands‑on position supports cash‑flow management, payroll, and invoicing within a fast‑growing tech services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable: process supplier invoices, maintain creditor records, reconcile statements and ensure timely payments.
• Handle accounts receivable and client invoicing: issue invoices, monitor debtor balances, follow up overdue payments and keep customer records in Xero.
• Produce weekly cash‑flow forecasts, monitor cash position, manage invoice‑financing facilities and assist with working‑capital planning.
• Administer payroll and timesheets: collect and validate timesheets, prepare payroll data for external accountants and maintain employee leave records.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, including cash‑flow, debtor/creditor, revenue tracking and project profitability.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
• Commercially minded with experience in finance operations within a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with leadership, external accountants, clients and suppliers.
• Availability to work 3–4 days per week on a flexible schedule.
