Financial Controller – Multi-site Consumer Business

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing, PE‑backed consumer business that operates a multi‑site network across Australia and internationally. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will shape and strengthen the finance function to support ambitious national expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end reporting across a multi‑entity group.
• Own consolidations and financial reporting.
• Manage tax compliance and statutory obligations.
• Strengthen controls and improve finance processes.
• Support acquisition integration and legal entity simplification.
• Collaborate closely with operational leaders and the executive team.
• Oversee the finance operations team to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Drive systems and reporting enhancements, including Power BI and ERP optimisation.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Group Accountant.
• Strong technical accounting, reporting and consolidation capability.
• Proven track record of improving processes and building scalable finance functions.
• Hands‑on, pragmatic approach with willingness to roll up sleeves.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
• Background in retail, hospitality, leisure or other multi‑site consumer businesses (preferred).
• Experience in SME or mid‑market environments (preferred).
