Financial Controller – Mining Company

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join Jubilee Metals Ltd, a subsidiary of Bumi Resources Australia, in Brisbane’s central business district. The role will lead the company’s financial operations, ensure accurate reporting and provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and financial reporting.
• Prepare and present weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, delivering variance analysis and financial insights for decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax and audit requirements.
• Conduct financial analysis and deliver strategic recommendations to support growth and operational efficiency.
• Develop innovative solutions to mitigate risks and optimise business outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA or ACCA.
• 7‑10 years of experience in financial management or accounting, including at least 3 years in a controller or senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
• Leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate a finance team.
• Experience in the mining, construction or industrial sector is highly regarded.
