Financial Controller

About the role

Beacon Legal is seeking a Financial Controller to build and lead its in‑house finance function across multiple international entities. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will own the finance operations for the Beacon Group, influencing commercial decisions and shaping financial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes for all entities.
• Prepare and deliver management reports, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and overall financial performance.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and day‑to‑day finance operations.
• Ensure compliance with BAS, payroll tax, superannuation, ASIC and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with external accountants for taxation, financial statements and international compliance.
• Handle inter‑company accounting, foreign currency transactions and related processes.
• Lead and develop the internal Bookkeeper, improving finance workflows.
• Drive continuous improvement of finance systems, reporting automation and internal controls.
• Act as a trusted commercial partner to the Directors, providing financial insight for business decisions.

Required profile

• Experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial control and commercial partnering.
