Financial Controller

About the role

Our client, a family‑owned manufacturer experiencing rapid growth, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function and act as a strategic business partner to the Directors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end finance function, including monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Provide commercial insights and forward‑looking analysis to support business decisions.
• Implement and maintain strong financial controls, governance frameworks and scalable processes.
• Improve finance systems, reporting efficiency and operational performance.
• Partner with Directors to drive growth and performance.
• Manage external accountants and ensure statutory compliance.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, including offshore support.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified.
• Strong technical accounting and commercial finance capability.
• Experience implementing financial controls, governance and reporting improvements.
• Manufacturing, industrial or product‑based industry experience with strong costing knowledge.
• Hands‑on, commercially minded approach with strategic thinking.
• Experience in privately owned or family businesses is highly regarded.
