Financial Controller

About the role

Ektimo Pty Ltd is seeking a full‑time Financial Controller to lead all financial management and reporting activities at its Mitcham, VIC office. You will ensure accurate financial records, support strategic decisions, and work closely with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyse financial statements and reports.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Develop and maintain budgeting and forecasting models.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and financial performance.
• Oversee accounting operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Improve internal controls and financial processes.
• Collaborate with operational teams to align financial outcomes with business objectives.

Required profile

• Strong accounting and finance background with experience in core accounting functions.
• Expertise in financial statements preparation, analysis and reporting.
• Advanced analytical ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA/CA preferred.
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role, ideally in a technical or services environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
