Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller reports directly to the General Manager and is a key member of the hotel’s leadership team. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance of the property, analysing key indicators and advising department heads on how to achieve and exceed financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budgeting, planning and forecasting for the hotel, including analysis and reporting of monthly and annual results.
• Prepare and present monthly P&L analysis, forecasts and performance reports.
• Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.
• Provide training to hotel leaders and the finance team to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in hotel financial processes and strategic thinking.
• Significant experience using hotel systems such as Opera, Micros, Sun, PurchasePlus, Ready Workforce, Currency Select and online banking portals.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver high‑level analytical commentary.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping a big‑picture view.
