Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the group reporting function for a well‑regarded ASX‑listed mining operator. The role oversees statutory reporting, consolidations and ASX disclosures across a multi‑site portfolio and reports directly to the CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Lead statutory reporting, consolidations and ASX disclosures for a multi‑site mining portfolio.
• Manage and develop a small, high‑performing finance team.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance with accounting standards.
• Drive process improvement across finance systems and platforms.
• Provide technical accounting expertise to the CFO, finance leadership and operational decision‑makers.
• Manage external audits and contribute to Board and Audit & Risk Committee reporting.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with strong technical grounding in statutory reporting, consolidations and ASX‑listed company requirements.
• Experience in a Big 4 or top‑tier accounting firm, followed by commercial finance experience in the resources sector.
• Proven ability to operate in a multi‑site environment and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Focus on continuous improvement of processes and team capability.
