Financial Controller

About the role

Recruitmark is partnering with a well‑established, growing organisation to hire an experienced Financial Controller. The role will own the company’s financial operations, governance and performance, providing commercial insight to senior leadership and driving financial discipline across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee weekly and monthly financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Establish and maintain robust financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Deliver accurate financial statements and analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
• Manage end‑to‑end finance operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury and liaison with auditors and regulators.
• Drive financial system improvements, ERP optimisation, audit preparation and continuous improvement of finance processes and team capability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial control or similar role.
• Strong technical accounting capability with knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with commercial contracting principles.
• Ability to build relationships and contribute to shared business outcomes.
• Must be Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial process optimisation.
