Financial Controller

About the role

Neutrog Australia is looking for an experienced, down‑to‑earth Financial Controller to lead the finance and administration function. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on involvement in daily financial processes, supporting the MD and COO with reliable, timely information for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the finance and administration team.
• Oversee all financial processing including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, stock processes and general ledger maintenance.
• Deliver accurate and timely month‑end close and management reporting.
• Manage cashflow, working capital and banking relationships.
• Strengthen financial systems, internal controls and delegations of authority.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning with senior leadership.
• Partner with operations to improve reporting, inventory management and cross‑functional processes.
• Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and financial governance.

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualification.
• Significant commercial experience in a senior accounting or finance leadership role.
• Calm, steady leadership style with the ability to empower and develop a team.
• Excellent technical accounting capability and strong attention to detail.
• Confidence managing cashflow, month‑end and financial reporting.
• Clear communication and ability to partner effectively with management and operations.
• Experience in manufacturing or inventory‑based environments (advantageous).

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
