Financial Controller – Contract (Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established organisation to secure an experienced Financial Controller on a three‑month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role offers a blend of hands‑on financial management and leadership of a small finance team during a busy period.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end reporting processes.
• Manage day‑to‑day activities of the finance team.
• Review financial statements and perform reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements.
• Provide financial insights to operational stakeholders.
• Assist with finance‑related projects and change initiatives.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Accountant.
• Experience in healthcare, aged‑care or retirement sectors is highly regarded.
• Strong technical accounting expertise.
• Hands‑on approach with ability to work on both strategic and operational matters.
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills.
