Financial Accountant – Manufacturing (Multi‑Site)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established manufacturing business with several sites in Sydney Olympic Park, is looking for a Financial Accountant to join the finance team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work in a complex, multi‑entity environment and support financial operations across Australian and international entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end journals, balance‑sheet reconciliations and management reports.
• Manage intercompany accounting, consolidations and eliminations for multiple entities.
• Assist with statutory financial statements, tax compliance and audit preparation.
• Oversee fixed‑asset accounting, inventory reconciliations and cost‑accounting processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Guide and review the work of junior team members, providing technical support.
• Liaise with stakeholders across sites and international entities to drive process improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of financial accounting experience in a multi‑entity environment.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA/CA qualification (or near completion).
• Experience with international entities, intercompany accounting and consolidations.
• Manufacturing or construction industry experience preferred.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, high integrity and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Intercompany accounting and consolidation/elimination processes.
• Fixed‑asset and inventory reconciliation.
• Cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
