Financial Accountant

About the role

Tronox is looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to join its global Finance team. Reporting to the Manager – Financial Accounting, you will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, compliance and control across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and month‑end adjustments.
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and support month‑, quarter‑ and year‑end close processes.
• Analyse profit and loss and balance‑sheet variances, providing commentary and insights.
• Assist with statutory financial statements, external audit coordination and SOX control activities.
• Handle regulatory reporting such as BAS, FBT, royalty returns and Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) submissions.
• Process Korea cashbook transactions and support Singapore statutory reporting requirements.
• Manage foreign‑exchange gains and losses related to rebates and commissions.
• Identify and contribute to process‑improvement, automation and standardisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification (or actively pursuing).
• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP or another ERP system.
• Understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls.
