Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a driven and detail‑focused Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Perth. The role blends technical accounting work with commercial exposure, partnering closely with operations across multiple farm sites in Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Review and approve journal entries to maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and stock movements across sites.
• Update inventory, budgetary adjustments and GL allocations, assessing provisions and accruals.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register and run monthly depreciation.
• Conduct on‑site stock counts with farm teams.
• Produce dashboard reports and assist Treasury with cash‑flow analysis.
• Support BAS and ATO returns and coordinate external audits.
• Investigate purchase‑order discrepancies and release creditor payments.
• Manage foreign‑currency transactions and balances.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (essential).
• CA or CPA qualification, or progress toward certification (preferred).
• Minimum three years’ experience in financial accounting.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel to farm sites within WA.
• Ability to split time between the Perth office and on‑site locations.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance and accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Ability to work across complex, multi‑site environments.
