Financial Accountant – Fixed‑Term (6 months)

About the role

Protecht Group is looking for a Financial Accountant to join its Sydney team on a six‑month fixed‑term basis. You will support a key project by managing balance sheets, accounts receivable and payable, billing, payroll and the general ledger while working in a flexible hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
• Process accounts receivable, accounts payable and monthly billings.
• Administer monthly payroll.
• Support the project team with financial reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data.

Required profile

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Highly organised, solutions‑focused and comfortable influencing multiple stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
