Finance Trainee

About the role

We are looking for motivated Finance Trainees to join our fast‑growing financial services group. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on exposure to daily finance and accounting tasks while you develop a solid foundation in financial operations and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate monthly upfront and ongoing (trail) commissions with precision.
• Analyse lender data and reconcile it against internal system records.
• Match commission payments with sales data and bank statements to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare commission reports for brokers and sales team members.
• Maintain, organise, and update commission‑related data and documentation.
• Process approved commission payments in the accounting system.
• Use Microsoft Excel for calculations, data analysis, and reporting.
• Follow internal procedures to guarantee data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.

Required profile

• Fresh graduates or trainees with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, tables; advanced skills are a plus).
• Willingness to learn accounting software such as MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Basic analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• High sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
