Finance Analyst (NV1) – Canberra

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Finance Analyst (NV1) to support a high‑performing federal government program in Canberra. You will provide expert financial management, analysis and advice, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth frameworks while supporting decision‑making across a complex operating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial activities in line with Commonwealth policies and frameworks.
• Produce accurate, timely financial reports and analyses.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Advise stakeholders on financial risks, compliance and performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and high‑quality financial governance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Defence where required.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Business, or 5+ years of Commonwealth financial management experience.
• Proven ability to deliver accurate and reliable financial advice in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of Commonwealth financial frameworks and Defence financial reporting.
• Effective communication skills and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
