FIFO Mining Trainer & Assessor (Multiple Positions)

About the role
We are seeking experienced Trainer and Assessor professionals to join a top‑tier mining operation on a FIFO basis. You will design, deliver and assess training programmes for operators, shot‑firers and supervisors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting a skilled workforce.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver training programmes aligned with regulatory requirements and best practice.
- Conduct competency assessments and evaluations to verify skill levels and safety knowledge.
- Provide coaching and support to address skill gaps and promote continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to identify training needs and create tailored solutions.
- Maintain accurate training records, plans, assessments and certifications in line with company policy.
- Monitor training effectiveness, recommend improvements and report outcomes.
- Foster a culture of safety, professionalism and continuous learning within the mining team.
Required profile
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience delivering training and competency assessments in the mining or civil construction sector.
- Solid understanding of surface mining operations and equipment.
- Current and valid WA C‑Class driver’s licence (minimum).
- Strong communication, facilitation and organisational abilities.
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Required skills
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- WA C‑Class driver’s licence
- Knowledge of surface mining equipment (e.g., Cat 793F, 793D, 785C, Komatsu WA1200, Cat 992K, Cat D10/D11, Cat 16‑24 grader, Atlas Copco/Epiroc D65 drill)
- Competency assessment and certification processes
- Training programme development
