Field Service Technician – Material Handling Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our Perth branch and provide on‑site support for a wide range of material handling equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining customer units, ensuring reliable operation across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs, breakdown fixes and preventative maintenance on all types of material handling equipment.
• Deliver professional customer service and maintain clear communication with clients.
• Accurately complete job sheets, timesheets and other required documentation.

Required profile

• Current driver’s licence.
• Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician, Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Plant or Diesel Mechanic).
• Strong work ethic, self‑motivation and ability to work independently.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to undertake training and adhere to safe work practices.

Required skills

• Mechanical repair of industrial equipment.
• Preventative maintenance procedures.
• Trade‑specific knowledge (Forklift, automotive, diesel, heavy vehicle, plant).
• Driver’s licence.
• Forklift licence and LPG certificate (advantageous, not mandatory).
