Field Service Engineer – Prepared Food

About the role

Join JBT Marel as a Field Service Engineer supporting prepared‑food processing equipment across Australia. You will work directly with customers, ensuring their machines operate at peak performance while gaining hands‑on experience with advanced poultry‑industry technology.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced colleagues both on‑site and in the office to learn all aspects of our machines.
• Plan, execute and document preventative maintenance visits.
• Travel to customer sites to perform service visits and troubleshoot production issues.
• Conduct on‑site evaluations, install enhancements, and test/calibrate components to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Deliver the JBT Marel promise of superior performance, service and quality through clear communication with customer managers and supervisors.
• Provide break‑fix services on high‑technology food processing equipment.

Required profile

• Trade‑certified in Electrical and/or Mechanical disciplines.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics, P&IDs and manuals.
• Computer‑proficient with a background in the food industry.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously and take initiative.
• Willingness to work weekends and out‑of‑hours as needed.
• Based within 1‑2 hours travel time of a capital city or major regional airport.
