Field Maintainer Mechanical

About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and motivated Field Maintainer Mechanical to join the Hail Creek Open Cut team. Reporting to the Field Maintenance Crew Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mobile mining equipment in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general mechanical repairs and maintenance on rope shovels, excavators, drills and quarry equipment.
• Replace mechanical components on associated equipment.
• Conduct component overhauls and refurbishment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Support the field maintenance team to maximise equipment reliability and availability.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑trade experience with a relevant Heavy Diesel Trade Qualification.
• Diverse fleet experience of heavy machinery.
• High level of commitment to safety and proficiency.
• Ability to work unsupervised, individually and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Heavy Diesel Trade Qualification.
