Field Installer Repairer (Telecoms Technician)

About the role

Telstra is seeking skilled technicians across Australia for Field Service opportunities, with several positions available around the country. As a Field Service Technician you work without immediate supervision to activate and assure telecommunications and technology products and services for customers in homes and businesses. You will join a diverse team and the expectation is to live in the targeted area or be willing to relocate.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver fault rectification, service assurance and product installations to meet customer needs.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot telecommunications infrastructure across fibre, copper and emerging network technologies.
• Support fibre networks, core telecommunications platforms and data connectivity services.
• Install and maintain customer-premises technology solutions for residential and business customers.
• Diagnose and resolve service faults across fixed access networks, focusing on fibre and digital technologies.
• Perform network commissioning, restoration and maintenance in urban, regional and remote environments.

Required profile

• Holds and maintains the relevant licenses and qualifications required by regulators and legal authorities.
• Maintains a current driver's license.
• Willingness to obtain a Working With Children Check (training offered).

Required skills

• Open cabling license with relevant endorsements.
• Industry white card.
• Traffic management qualifications (desirable).
