About the role
Gnomic Exploration is looking for a Field Assistant with experience processing cores to assist its client in the Cloncurry region. The role covers all aspects of core processing and the handling of samples between the lab, on a contract of about 4 months with a possible extension.
Key responsibilities
- Process cores, including marking up, orientation, photography, cutting and sampling
- Manage the dispatch and receipt of samples between the lab throughout the contract
- Undertake sampling using a pXRF (prior experience with this is considered beneficial)
- Work on a 12/9 roster on a FIFO basis from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns
Required profile
- Experience processing cores
- Ability to work on a FIFO roster
