Factory Carpenter

About the role

EIR Labour Hire is hiring a temporary factory carpenter to work on active construction sites across South Australia, including residential builds, modular construction, commercial fit-outs and mining accommodation projects. The position is based in Para Hills, with immediate starts available.

Key responsibilities

• Install sheet flooring, windows, doors and sheet metal roof cladding
• Erect lightweight steel wall frames and roof trusses, and construct eaves, stairs, ramps and structural carpentry components
• Install external wall claddings, linings, panelling and mouldings
• Read and interpret plans, specifications and site drawings, set out buildings and establish levels from datum points
• Carry out measurements and calculations, and use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Undertake refurbishments, reworks and maintenance carpentry, and close out defect and punch list items before and after inspections
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding where required, assist trades, apprentices and labourers, and coordinate workflow with supervisors and project managers
• Maintain safe work practices, WHS requirements and the condition of materials, tools and equipment

Required profile

• Certification IIII Carpentry
• 5+ years of experience as a qualified carpenter
• Own hand and power tools
• White Card

What we offer

• $47 per hour plus overtime, ongoing
• Monday to Friday hours starting at 7am, with overtime and weekend work depending on project needs; FIFO rosters available for remote projects
