Facility Service Person – Multi‑Skill Maintenance

About the role

The Service Person is a key member of a multi‑skilled maintenance team responsible for the safe and effective upkeep of facility infrastructure equipment. Working under supervision, you will perform a variety of repair and preventive tasks across several trade areas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform building operations maintenance, including inspections, minor repairs, and scheduled servicing of equipment such as evaporative coolers, pumps, and blower units.
• Oversee custodian services and grounds maintenance as directed, and support office functions like shipping/receiving and supply stocking.
• Operate trucks, forklifts, hoists and other material‑handling equipment; complete documentation such as work orders, timesheets and safety reports.
• Carry out minor electrical repairs, filter and heat‑exchanger cleaning, equipment painting, door hanging, lighting fixture replacement and commode resetting.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years experience in trade and construction, with a strong understanding of WHS Act, EHS policies and facility maintenance practices.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain and retain NV1 security clearance (with intent to progress to Top‑Secret Positive Vetting).
• Certificate II in Construction Pathways or equivalent experience, White Card, and a valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering and basic electrical repair/installation.
• Operation of forklifts, hoists and other material‑handling equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Archibus) is desirable.
