Facilities Manager – Multi-Venue Hospitality Group

About the role

The Facilities Manager will oversee facilities operations, asset management, contractor performance, compliance, maintenance and capital planning across Bankstown Sports' seven venues and the Flinders Centre. Reporting to senior leadership, this high‑visibility role blends strategic planning with hands‑on management to keep venues safe, efficient and well‑maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Facilities Management Department across seven venues and the Flinders Centre.
• Own all asset registers and develop capital replacement strategies.
• Manage preventative, reactive and statutory maintenance programmes.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecast capital spend and drive cost‑control initiatives.
• Oversee tender processes, contract negotiations and service agreements.
• Ensure contractor compliance and manage contractor performance.
• Drive service delivery standards and operational excellence across the portfolio.
• Lead minor refurbishments, capital replacement projects and facilities upgrades.
• Collaborate with operational stakeholders to align facilities with business objectives.
• Support ESG initiatives and sustainability projects.
• Act as the primary escalation point for facilities‑related issues and after‑hours reactive maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior Facilities Management role.
• Trade qualification, diploma or degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering or a related discipline (highly desirable).
• Proven experience managing multiple sites within hospitality, retail, commercial property or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management, preventative maintenance and contractor management.
• Demonstrated experience managing operational and capital budgets.
• Ability to negotiate and manage service contracts and maintenance agreements.
• Strong financial acumen.
