Facilities Manager – Account Manager (Contract)

About the role

A purpose-led business with a strong social impact mission is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager / Account Manager for a short-term 4-month contract, commencing as soon as possible, based in Brisbane CBD. The role supports the delivery of a national facilities management contract for a federal government portfolio, acting as the key liaison between the client and executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement asset management strategies, policies and planned maintenance programs.
• Drive the transition from reactive to proactive, risk-based maintenance.
• Manage budgets, P&L, contract performance, KPIs and SLA compliance.
• Oversee subcontractors, team performance and service delivery across sites.
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in building, facilities or asset management.
• Strong commercial acumen, including budget and P&L management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, reporting and leadership skills.
• Sound knowledge of building compliance, statutory requirements and WHS obligations.
• Eligibility to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.

Required skills

• Experience with CMMS/CAFM systems, work scheduling and contractor management.
