Experienced External Audit Analyst – Canberra

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced analyst to join its external audit team in Canberra. You will work on a variety of client engagements, developing a deep understanding of auditing principles, practices, and standards while supporting senior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior auditors in assessing financial records and preparing audit documentation.
• Participate in the design and development of innovative audit solutions.
• Engage with clients across government and other sectors, addressing complex accounting issues.
• Contribute to team‑based audit engagements and ensure high‑quality deliverables.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in external audit.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, commerce, or a related field.
• Eligibility or enrolment in a CA qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and project‑management abilities.
• Australian citizenship; security clearance required (advantageous if already held).
