Expansion Controller (Part‑time, 3 days/week)

About the role

We are looking for an Expansion Controller to support financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for our Leasing, Construction & Facilities functions. This permanent part‑time position (3 days a week) is based in Sydney and works closely with the Expansion Manager and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for Leasing, Construction & Facilities (C&F).
• Deliver regular reporting on capex investments, operational costs and expansion performance.
• Provide analysis and business‑case support to guide expansion decisions.
• Monitor key metrics such as sales, rent, costs and capex, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of lease, financial and project data across systems.
• Reconcile financial data and support timely payments in partnership with Accounting.
• Maintain visibility of the project pipeline and portfolio performance for stakeholders.
• Train and support teams on data accuracy, KPI understanding and system usage.
• Collaborate with Leasing, Legal, Accounting and C&F teams to drive alignment and improve processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in auditing, accounting or controlling.
• Proven experience preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management.
• Analytical and conceptual thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Structured, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Resilient, accurate and accountable, driving clarity across teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including financial modelling.
• Financial analysis and controlling processes.
