Executive Finance Controller

About the role

This is a senior finance leadership position with a rapidly growing Australian technology services group. You will partner with the COO and the Executive Team to design and build a finance function that becomes a strategic source of control, insight and competitive advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Establish a trusted, scalable Group finance model across multiple entities.
• Strengthen financial control, cash visibility and reporting for the Board.
• Transform financial information into sharper commercial decisions.
• Improve forecasting, performance accountability and executive reporting.
• Simplify systems, processes and provider arrangements.
• Embed automation and AI where they deliver real value.
• Build finance capability to support future growth, acquisitions and private‑equity initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with the COO, Executive Team and business leaders.

Required profile

• Current Finance Director, Group Financial Controller, Head of Finance, Deputy CFO or senior finance leader ready for broader enterprise ownership.
• Deep expertise in financial control, multi‑entity reporting, consolidation, audit, cash management, forecasting and executive reporting.
• Experience in technology services, consulting, professional services or other people‑led, project‑based organisations.
• Exposure to private‑equity, acquisitions or finance transformation is a strong plus.
• Technically strong, commercially sharp, comfortable challenging assumptions and hands‑on when needed.
• Thrives in ambiguous, high‑growth environments and is ambitious about modern finance functions.
