Executive Assistant to Chief People Officer

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position supports the Chief People Officer of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Working in a hybrid model from Ultimo, you will help keep the People & Culture division operating smoothly by providing high‑level executive assistance and coordinating key governance and communication activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex diary, travel arrangements and executive correspondence for the CPO.
• Coordinate governance processes, including Board and executive papers, meeting logistics, action tracking and approvals.
• Lead projects, communications and operational initiatives on behalf of the CPO.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across the ABC, acting as a trusted point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee administrative operations of the CPO’s office, including managing the People & Culture Coordinator and driving process improvements.

Required profile

• Significant experience supporting C‑suite or senior executives in a large, complex organisation.
• Exceptional organisational ability with a track record of handling competing priorities and confidential matters.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all organisational levels.
• Experience in coordinating governance processes, executive meetings, projects and strategic initiatives.
• Proactive mindset, meticulous attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
