Event Floor Manager

About the role

We are seeking a service‑driven leader to oversee Conference & Events Operations at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, ensuring seamless delivery of events from planning through execution.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare events, allocate staff, and manage Event Orders before staff arrival.
• Supervise and support the team to maintain consistent service standards and deliver hands‑on food & beverage service.
• Liaise with kitchen teams to ensure food quality, presentation, hygiene and legislative compliance.
• Collaborate with Conference and Events Sales to meet client requirements.
• Manage post‑function reporting, invoicing, end‑of‑day clean‑up and equipment checks.
• Drive guest satisfaction, team morale and proactive problem‑solving.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support wider leadership in operational excellence.

Required profile

• Passionate Food & Beverage professional with strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills.
• Several years of experience in a Conference & Events or F&B managerial role.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach and ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments.
• Commitment to training, developing team members and achieving departmental objectives.
